Pharmaleads was set-up in December 2000 by a group of researchers from INSERM ( French National Medical Research Institute) led by Professor Bernard Roques assisted by Prof Marie-Claude Fournié-Zaluski.
Their teams have developed an internationally recognized expertise in the field of Zinc Metallopeptidases and in using their specific properties. Their numerous international publications cover key advancements of sciences in the undertsanding of a large number of proteases such as ACE, ECE, NEP, APN, APA, ….
Based on this strong know-how Pharmaleads has developed new patented products (substrates and inhibitors) from 2000 until 2004.
In January 2005, Pharmaleads strengthened its position in order to promote and sell its offerings while pursuing its research effort. An experienced management team join the existing scientific team of Pharmaleads to create value out of the very innovative in-house technologies.
New products lines and high value tailored services will be launched in 2005 :
 Detection and measure of botulinum toxins A & B
High potent and selective substrate and/or inhibitors for HTS in ECE, NEP, APN, APA... domains
New generation of high performance assays of Caspases, Secretases, MMP,…
